Package Your Expertise for AI Clients
Find what your clients can now do with AI, what still needs you, and three ways to package your expertise around it.
An ex-client told me he lost two clients to AI last month and asked what he should do. We had five minutes. I turned the rest of my answer into a letter, and then into this skill.
It asks you a few questions about your work, one at a time. It helps you find where your uniqueness ends and what your clients can do without you. Then it gives you ideas for each of the three levels, based on your own answers.
What you leave with
- Your line. What your clients can do without you, and what still needs you.
- A way to show the difference. The generic version next to yours, from your own past work.
- Your three levels. Ideas for each one, and which I'd start with.
- A message to send today. To a client who left or went quiet.
- One thing to do this week.
The three levels
Level 1: your uniqueness, plus you teach them. You do the unique work and show your client by examples how AI helps with the rest.
Level 2: plus they can do it themselves. Your client also gets a few simple skills you made that guide them through the process on their own. This page is a Level 2.
Level 3: plus a tool dialed into them. A tool that has been taught your style, your framework and how you do things. That is what virtualX is for.

What your clients can do without you: basic captions, cropping and resizing photos, quick post ideas when they're stuck.
What still needs you: making the work look like that specific hotel and not "any hotel".
AI can get them to "something to post today". It can't get them to something only that hotel could have posted.
One thing to do this week
Ask the client who went quiet why, the same direct question the other one already answered.
How to set it up
If you use Claude
- Open Settings > Capabilities and turn on Code execution and file creation.
- Open Customize > Skills, click +, then Create skill, then Upload a skill, and pick the file you downloaded. Don't unzip it.
- Start a new chat and write: package my expertise
Skills work on every Claude plan, including the free one.
If you use ChatGPT or anything else
- Press Copy the prompt above.
- Paste it into a new chat.
- Answer the questions, one at a time.
After you run it
The skill gives you a first version, and the judgement on it still needs a human. Send me your result and I'll come back with a follow-up question or two.
